Hieronymus-Werkstatt

Nicht zum ersten Mal fand an der Theologischen Hochschule Chur im Rahmen des Movetia Programms ein Hieronymus-Workshop statt. Vom 22. bis zum 24. Oktober 2018 wurde in verschiedenen Vorlesungen am Lehrstuhl für Alttestamentliche Wissenschaften über die Arbeits- und Übersetzungsweise des Hieronymus diskutiert. Unter der gemeinsamen Leitung von Prof. Dr. Michael Fieger, Prof. Dr. Widu-Wolfgang Ehlers (Berlin), a.o. Prof. Dr. Wilhelm Tauwinkl (Bukarest) und a.o. Prof. Dr. Adrian Muraru (Jassy) wurden Vorlesungen zu verschiedenen linguistischen Themenbereichen der Vulgata gehalten. Die beiden zentralen Stellen aus dem Buch Jesaja, Jes 6,9-10 (Verstockung) und Jes 7,14 (Jungfrauengeburt), wurden in der hebräischen, griechischen und lateinischen Sprache in einem synoptischen Quellentextvergleich analysiert. In der Diskussion mit den Studierenden wurden philologische und theologische Fragestellungen erörtert. Die Stelle Jes, 6, 9-10 wird weiter untersucht und in der nächsten Ausgabe der Internet Zeitschrift Vulgata in Dialogue publiziert.

Die Studierenden wurden zur Teilnahme an der Summer School 2019 in Jassy /Rumänien eingeladen. Dieses interdisziplinäre Projekt zum Thema „Die Stadt als Lebensraum der Christen» wird zusammen mit der Partneruniversität Jassy organisiert.

A new workshop on Jerome took place in our Theological Faculty in Chur between 22th and 24th of October 2018.

Our students worked with Prof. Dr. Widu-Wolfgang Ehlers (Berlin), Prof. Dr. Michael Fieger (Chur), associated Prof. Dr. Adrian Muraru (Jassy, Romania) and associated Prof. Dr. Wilhelm Tauwinkl (Bucharest, Romania) on different linguistic topics of the Vulgate. The aim was the interdisciplinary reading of Isaiah 6:9-10 and Isaiah 7:14. The different versions of the text in Hebrew, Greek and Latin were discussed. as a synoptical view of the source texts. They were also commented with respect to the biblical exegesis, taking into account philological aspects, philosophical questions and the theological interpretation. This reflections about Isaiah 6,9-10 will be published in the next issue of the internet review Vulgata in Dialogue.

The students also were invited to participate in Summer School 2019 in Jassy on the topic „The City as the Living Space of Christians». It`s a joint project of the Faculty of Theology of Chur and the Faculty of Philosophy and Social Sciences of the University of Jassy, Romania.
